After Mr Gray was in the CH-47 Helicopter crash he quickly realized the failing medical system that plagues the US Military as well as the Veterans Community. In 2011 after nearly two months in a military hospital Mr Gray was transferred to UCLA. At UCLA Mr Gray was provided with the best medical doctors that money could buy courtesy of Operation MEND. After 4 years of military denials of surgical procedures, poor health care and horrible follow on care the US ARMY retired Mr. Gray at 100% disability. While in the retirement process Mr Gray assisted several Veterans non profits expand and a few begin. He will continue to hold Veterans at the forefront of his commitment to this Country.
Mr. Gray is an active member of several Veterans groups to include:
American Legion / Boys State Mentor
VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars)
DAV ( Disabled American Veterans)
IAVA (Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America)
Greater Los Angeles / West LA VA campus Advisory board
Casey will use his experience to pass legislation, which will protect Americas Veterans as well as those men and women still serving on active duty.
